There are, of course, many more links than are provided here. This page includes the links I have found most helpful and informative.
Check out the Allergy Gameplan for Recovery section. It's not so much for recovery from the allergy (there is no recovery per se), but a gameplan for recovering your health without the allergen. |
The Allergy Connection has several informative articles about allergies
in general. |
Alpha Nutrition Food Allergy Center is basically a commercial website, and it's a bit hard to navigate, but the articles here are excellent regarding non-IgE allergies, such as deficiency of the antibody IgA. |
Avoiding Corn, by Ephraim Vishniac, is one of the oldest and best sites out there. Ephraim was (and is) my inspiration for creating and
maintaining a comprehensive and practical website. |
The Corn Stalk is an interesting article about Corn, the American success story. |
Delphi Forum is a message board forum with great discussions, loads of information, and a supportive community. |
I actually don't recommend the Fact Sheet Food Allergy and Intolerances article for information as much as I do to see what we're up against. This website is full of disheartening topics such as distinguishing intolerances from allergies and whether migraines are real allergy reactions. |
FAST (Food Allergy Survivors Together) has the most comprehensive site I've seen yet, including a forum and an advocacy section. |
The Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network has a lot of information about dealing with food allergy and anaphylaxis. |
Healthy-Family.org is
a blog with a category for gluten and corn free foods. |
Living Without is actually a magazine for people with gluten allergies, as well as wheat allergies, multiple food allergies, and chemical sensitivities. However, we all face many of the same psychological issues. |
MAGNUM:
Migraine Awareness Group: A National Understanding for Migraineurs. If migraines
are among your allergy symptoms, check out this site! |
MayoClinic.com's articles on "What Is a Food Allergy?" is required reading. |
SelectWisely:
Food translation cards for food allergies. SelectWisely offers customized
food alert cards made to your particular travel plans and food requirements. |
