Homemade Biscuits Preparations: Set oven for 450 degrees. Grease a cookie sheet lightly. Ingredients: 1/3 cup vegetable oil 1 cup buttermilk* 2 cups self-rising flour In a medium size bowl combine all ingredients, mixing well (but don't over-do it). Flour your hands and pinch off a portion of dough. Roll it into a ball and then flatten it slightly by holding the mound in your palm and pressing it down gently with the fingers of the opposite hand. Don't make it too flat! Place on cookie sheet and bake for 12 - 15 minutes. Brush tops with butter if desired.
