Gingerbread 1/2 cup butter 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 egg 1/2 cup molasses 1 1/2 cups flour 1/2 tsp salt 3/4 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp ginger 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/2 cup boiling water Mix butter and brown sugar until creamy. Add egg and molasses and beat well. In a separate bowl, mix the dry ingredients together. Alternately add the flour mixture and boiling water to the butter mixture, beating well after each addition. Bake for 35-40 minutes at 350 degrees in a greased 8-inch square cake pan. Very yummy served warm.
